Why is unemployment as bad as it is: myth 1: people are unemployed because they are lazy and don"t want to work, or said another way, there is a job for everyone who wants to work. Although it is true that there are people who are lazy and unmotivated to work that"s why there are unemployed, it is wrong to think that the behavior of a few individuals can explain large social phenomenon. We can"t make a judgment on such large social phenomenon as unemployment based on a few lazy people who do not want to work. There is strong evidence that when the number of jobs in the communities expand, most unemployed people go to work. Ww2 is a great example of this because when an opportunity came along, almost all the unemployed people went to the military and to work. This shows that unemployment is not an issue of laziness and unwillingness to work.
