Jurispridence- study of and philosophy of law. Justice studies focus more on the organization side of criminal justice and legal systems. It"s this natural phenomena that happen in the universe (exists) human beings make meaning out of it. Certain rights and virtues (can be reached via reason and logic. Positivism challenged this idea of natural law. Law is human made (scientifically oriented as well) Law doesn"t always just mean what"s written down. He thinks both exists (morality and legal) when morality and legality conflict. We need to think of them as separate as entities. Essential connection between the law and morality. Universe is made up of morals and binding rules (people chose to put it in words) He is suggesting that god is passing down rightness and wrongness (then people create laws based on these principles: there is this relation ship we should pay attention to it.
