On a scale of 1-5, 5 being the most productive and 1 being the least productive, how well do you think president trump did in his first 100 days of office. Number of promises he has kept since his campaign. Measures of dispersion: range, idr, standard deviation and variance. There is a logical order to the units, but there is not an equal distance between each unit. Ex: education: did not complete high school, completed high school, some college. We can turn education into a continuous measure: how many years have you attended school 0-120: measure has an equal distance between each year 365. Range: difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of a distribution. Inter-quartile range: difference between 75th percentile and 25th percentile scores. Find halfway point between median and minimum value (1st quartile) and halfway point between the median and maximum value (3rd quartile) The mean is the model of the data.
