Secure infants better socially adjusted and have increased capacity for compassion. Attachment deprivation infancy is a sensitive period for attachment. High quality child care does not disrupt children"s attachment to parents ; until age of ~4. 5yrs. Short term anxiety, fear, confusion, depression, behavior problems. Long term greater risk for academic problems, troubled relationships, depression.
