Circle: set of all points lying on a plane that are located at a fixed distance, called the radius, from a given point called the center. Diameter: of a circle, is a large segment passing through the center with both endpoints lying on the circle. Central angle: has its vertex at the center of a circle. The measure of angle = length of arc. Point: no size; only a position in space. Divides a line into three parts: the point and two half lines. Line: an infinite set of points; straight; has no thickness; extends in both directions without end. Plane: an infinite set of points forming a connected flat surface in all directions. Ray: a half line with the included endpoint. Line segment: a piece of a line joining two points and including the points. Parallel lines: lie on the same plane and have no points in common.
