Conjunctiva- a mucus membrane that lines the internal surface of the eyelids and continues over the anterior surface of the eye to join the corneal epithelium, Sclera- a fibrous tunic covering and protecting the eye, except it is modified anteriorly to form the cornea. Medial rectus- moves eye medially (iii ocular motor) Superior rectus- moves eye and turns it medially (iii ocular motor) Inferior rectus- depresses the eye and turns it medially (iii oculomoter) Inferior oblique- elevates the eye and turns it laterally (iii oculomotor) Superior oblique- depresses eye and turns it laterally. Labels to know: posterior cavity or vitreous chamber filled with vitreous humor, optic nerve, vitreous humor, retina, choroid, sclera, conjunctiva, cornea, anterior and posterior chambers, pupil, lens, suspensory ligaments, ciliary zonule, ciliary body. Chemical senses: gustation and olfaction, their chemoreceptors respond to chemicals in aqueous solution, smell- to substances dissolved in fluids of the nasal membranes, taste- to substances dissolved in saliva.
