A portrait of gender today (national geographic: looked at 15 individuals and their expressions on their own concept of gender identity. Identity, sex, and expression (national geographic: gives definitions on gender identity, biological sex, and gender expression as well as the relationship to these terms in the sense of being a woman, man, or non-binary. Clothing, paradoxically, often hides the sex but displays the gender: gendered social arrangements are justified by religion and cultural productions and backed by law. In the social construction of gender, it does not matter what men and women actually do, it does not even matter if they do exactly the same thing.
