Analyze mass media or social media to see what words are hot, what"s on trend, etc. Helps understand beliefs, attitudes or target public. Gather 8-12 people from a target public. Usually best in evening for working people. Keep to no longer than 2 hours. Give people your brochure, etc to read. Does it fit readability level of the target public. Watching to see how many people read a bulletin board. Sitting in coffee shop all day to see what kind of customers came in. Difficult to get people to do it.
