Drugs are excerpted in the urine, feces, sweat, breast milk, & exhaled air. Substance which are difficult to remove from the body can build up & become dangerous e. g. , mercury. Brain capillaries composed of endothelial cells that have tight junctions -> selectively permeable. Endothelial cells surrounded by the feet of astrocytes. Help exchange food and waste and maintain tight junctions. Areas of the brain that lack tight junctions.
