Metal, air, vocal fold: substance- what sound can vibrate on. Sound can vibrate very fast or very slow: ex. 20 hz too fast we cant hear but a lot of animals can: animals can hear much higher than us, sound exists even if no one is there to hear it or no one can hear it. In order for sound to exist it requires a source and medium: sound source: the generator of sound. It needs to vibrate: tuning fork, vocal fold, piano, guitar, sound medium: capable to transmit the sound. Bone (skull: determines how sound will vibrate.
