They"re layed out with wide streets for trading caravans and carts: buildings made of brick that they had time to fire and make. The precedent: this is one of the earliest, birth of shiva, suggests vedism. Proto-historic: they have a writing system, but we haven"t been able to decipher the writing. Indus valley terracottas: additive: starts with a base lump of clay, add on certain features such as breasts, lips, decorations, terracotta is then sun baked, bronze figures, maturing from terracotta to bronze.
