Fundamental fallacy: what i see (experience) is what my sensory system receives, you don"t know what each person sees exactly. Hard to measure exactly how a person measures a experience: you can distinguish a red square from a blue square. Taking it all in: a camera doesn"t know what it is looking at- it just knows specific color values in an image and save it in a format, the fundamentals are similar between us and a camera. Format of an image: all that a camera knows is spaces (picture units) that show color values. By way of analogy: think of eyes as a radio, your eyes are tuned to a specific wavelength. Properties of light: intensity: this gives rise to your experience as brightness, units of measurement: lumens. How you measure the intensity of electromagnetic radiation. Early stages of visual information processing: in v1- in the very back of your brain, process space contra laterally.
