Document Summary

Both of these models implies some sort of organization by some people in the community. With that in mind, organizations are more influential than individual persons trying to achieve something. Some of the elites that are in the community are those of mortgage lending banks, developers, builders, and the landowners. These elites have certain goals in mind when looking at running the community; these goals include: maximize land value, rents, mortgage interests, and revenues. There is no longer individual"s ownership of such elite institutions such as: banks, investment firms, corporations, government; these aspects of society are not nationally based institutions. That causes the elites to no longer have strong control as community leaders. The decline of the economic elites have been able to rise the idea of political elites. In comparison with economic elites, political elites are professional politicians that are motivated by their personal ambitions, rather than part time politicians that use government to promote their interests.
