People of austin thought houston was moving capital back to houston. Angelina eberly fires a cannon at the texas rangers. Texas rangers gave up papers because of no bloodshed. 1843: houston effects treaties of commerce and peace. Only to invade mexico if they had reasonable hope of success. Men wanted to separate from somervell because they wanted to invade mexico.
