Brazos river bottoms. sugar and cotton regions for texas. capturing the. : best cototn country in whole south!!! black belt of hundred miles. 3) continental system (c. 1880): came into existance around 1870- same process in gulf coast south. Charleston, savannah, mobiles, all went into relative decline after civil war.
