Staple crops- longer period to mature. staple wares are goods purchased in or produced for a market (stapol) Divided tobacco land to the north, cotton land to the south. Big house on hilltop, warehouse on the coast, then the ship on the estuarie!, and other quarters on the plantation. Becuase of this convenience, gentlemn and planters loved to build near the water thus neither the interest nor the inclinations of the virginians . To this day they have not nay one place of cohabitation among them.
