Document Summary

Same format as last test: 3 mins @ 25 stations, 4 pts. a piece. Where does light/light-ind. rxns take place: look over figures, difference b/w light/photochem. and calvin/biochem. rxns. End products of both: experiments of light intensity. Make sure know what measuring and what absorbance value should be (dpip) As time goes on, absorbance value should dec as rate of rxn/photosynthesis inc: dpip becomes clear, experiment of effect of light wavelength. Using different light and spinach disks and how many were floating. Measuring rate of photosynthesis to find which wavelength of light works best for photosynthesis. Action and absorption spectra: rf, figure 7-11 on pg. Action spectra tells which wavelength=effective for photosynthesis. Absorption spectra tells which photosynthetic pigment has max. absorption for that wavelength. Combo of these: which wavelength of light=effective for photosynthesis and which pigment=responsible for absorption @ that particular wavelength. Which color light= > effect and which isn"t: coleus demo: see in leaf where photosynthesis takes place.
