Energy comes into the ecosystem as sunlight and out of the ecosystem as heat. Heat cannot be recollected and utilized by our ecosystem: the largest ecosystem is the planet earth with all of its inhabitants: the biosphere. Concept map for extra credit; create a concept map over the whole semester: antiquity of life, continental drift. 245 million years ago: single land mass of pangea. Now: unity of life, two main forms of cells. Characteristics shared by both types: enclosed by a membrane, use dna as genetic info. Eukaryotic: divided into organelles, dna in nucleus, some have a cell wall; some do not which make them more undefined edge, dna is enclosed.
