Endowment effect: things that we touch often creates a personal attachment with us. Embodied cognition: certain things that we sense thru env from our skin that are metaphors, if cup held in hand, will describe people based on the temperature of liquid in the cup i. e. viewing someone as cold. Cup filled with cold beverage think that the person is colder. Cup filled with warm beverage think that the person is warmer. Unpleasant scents arouse disgust: emotion of disgust is adaptive because it can signal danger. Scents such as lavender can help us relax. The emotions tied to scents can be culturally defined. Pheromones scents that our body put off: can attract people of opposite sex, can also repel.
