Independent self-system: these individuals see their sense of self sees us as individual entities first, no such thing as a completely independent entity. Interdependent self-system: these individuals do not see themselves as individual entities first, no such as a completely dependent entity. Collectivist societies - group goals, respect for tradition. Self-esteem - a global evaluation (affective judgment) about one"s value and competency. I feel that i am a person of worth, at least on an equal basis with others. I feel that i have a number of good qualities. I am able to do things as well as most other people. On the whole, i am satisfied with myself. At times i think i am no good at all.
