Rf a diffusely arranged network of neurons that extends from the mesencephalon/midbrain through the mesencephalon (mostly concentrated here) to the myelencephalon. Descending portion is one of the several brain areas that controls the motor neurons of the spinal cord. Information goes through thalamus, tracts go through all lobes.
