First relay station in geniculostriate tract is lateral geniculate nucleus. Have problems in visual tract and primary visual processing in occipital cortex. One side of visual field missing or parts of visual field are missing. Mind can make something up based on surrounding data people don"t know if its little if there are issues in visual tract, it won"t get to v1 but you can have blindness scotoma. If it makes it to v1, then you will have interpreting problems info comes in and then you process info to determine what are lines and shapes and determine what they are.
