Group 2 = enough seeds for everybody: male = gray. Feeding behavior = different strategies of male and female. Forage very specifically for carotenoid containing foods: will eat other carotenoid. Red male covered with baby powder = lighter. Red male covered with red dye = redder then it was. Reason 1 = all birds are infected by bacteria (mycoplasma gallisepticum: redder males = infection quickly in them compared to a lighter red male, experiment = infected mycoplasma same = waited.
