Heens shot at huey and got the gun away from him and shot and killed fry: according to huey, he never had a gun. His only recollection is getting shot in the stomach and hearing several shots. The baby was severely neglected and the defendant was charged with voluntary manslaughter. It was not the defendant"s baby though, the mother was in and out of the house and the defendant gave the mother and baby a place to stay. The defendant was sometimes paid to take care of the baby but not a designated caretaker/guardian.
