Need to walk their length to take it all in. Marble is meant to last, tapestry is light and easy to move. Bayeux maintains its size throughout where the veterans memorial starts out small and increases in size. Veterans memorial references specific people vs. tapestry has images of the war itself. Memorial is apolitical whereas tapestry is a victor"s story . Memorial inscription references those lost whereas tapestry references those in the story (go along with the visual program) Poster for absolute monarchy (king has all the power) He saw himself as god on earth (sun king- everything revolves around him) Literally looking down at you in the portrait. Wanted all fountains to run at all times.
