The three types of code cracking that were utilized in this lab activity were brute-force, Each of the three attacks has strength and drawbacks in using them but they are nonetheless effective tools to use. In this lab i expected to learn how to run the code cracking apps in the vlabs however i don"t fully understand how to just sit down and crack a passcode. A brute-force attack is a type of decryption method that works by trying every combination in order to get the right passcode. In order to use this method, the person trying to crack the code needs to know parts of the hash, string of characters in the passcode.
