Document Summary

We are still moving forward with racism, but it still exists. Whites are the dominate group of people in america. Whites do not have to try and fit into a different culture. Whites do not have to work for everything. In the beginning, when the constitution was written it only gave rights to free white people. Black people used to get the hardest, worst jobs with absolutely no benefits. White could get loans in order to get a home, but people of color for the first 30 years could not. Gi bill to veterans, but only white veterans. Most whites do not realize racism towards blacks because it is not happening to them. Some felt as if it demonstrated the best out of america, and showed change for out country. Means that there is no more barrier where african americans can and can not go. Lost the white people vote and the southern vote.
