Modulation to c like beethoven -- moving away from tonic dominance, instead of modulating to the dominant, modulating to the mediant. Simple, nationalistic polish dance, holding onto clarity of form- listener knows exactly where they are in the song. Chromaticism in inner voice- chopin not only draws on classic era in clarity of form, but draws onto polyphony in baroque counterpoint - homophonic.
