Russia is the 15th largest economy in the world with a total gdp of . 4 trillion. It is also a nation rich in natural resources such as oil and natural gas, thus capable of affecting the global market over its hold on these resources. The economic growth has been uneven over the years with the greatest growth visible in the nation"s capital. Apart from being rich in natural resources, russia is the 3rd largest producer of electricity & stands at the 4th position in the nuclear energy production ranking. Russia also invests in renewable energy resources and stands at in the 5th position in the world ranking. Russia is widely known for its advancement in science and technology. Russia produces aircrafts and fighter crafts and holds defense contracts with a number of countries. The most notable fighter crafts are the mig series and sukhoi series. There have been several reforms in the recent years for the advancement of the nation.
