There are many other cultural dimensions in today"s world. For instance, a low-high context orientation will possess the following differences: Sender of the message is responsible for making sure the receiver understand what is being conveyed. Context such as relative status plays an important role. Time is a tangible commodity, that can be saved, used or wasted. Prefer to perform, task one at a time. Time commitments are desirable objectives but not necessarily promises. All societies are stratified on a hierarchical basis, based on position, power or wealth. Social mobility: the extent to which individuals can move out of the strata into which they are born: Caste system- social position is determined by the family into which you are born. Class system-the position a person has at birth can be changed through achievement or luck. Religion: a system of shared beliefs and rituals that are concerned with the realm of the sacred.
