The process of communication: communication is the process of creating shared meaning through verbal and nonverbal messages. Messages contain symbols (words and nonverbal behaviors are symbols: shared meaning the goal of communications. Meaning is in the mind of the receiver. Noise (anything that interferes with the message; both audible and inaudible) Sender"s job to deliver a message so clear that it cuts through all the psychological noise. Feedback: communication is linear , communication is transactional each participant is a sender and receiver at the same time. Meaning is created as people communicate together. Incorporate eld of experience: in uenced by individual forces. Cognitive (willingness to engage in critical thought) and physical ability. Field of experience: synergetic model add societal, individual forces and cultural forces, communication competence appropriateness, e ectiveness.
