Diffusion is the process by which a characteristic spreads across one place to another over time. Global culture and economy are increasingly centered in three core regions of north. Global economy has produced greater disparities than in the past between the levels of wealth and well-being for people in the core and in the periphery. Increasing gap in economic conditions between regions that results from the globalization of the economy is known as uneven development. From where people migrate: to where people migrate, why people migrate, emigration migration from a location. Distance of migration: most migrants relocate a short distance and remain within the same country, long-distance migrants to other countries head for major centers of economic activity. Push & pull factors: economic, cultural, environmental, distance of migration. International migration: push factors induce people to move out of their present location. Negative view of a present location: pull factors induce people to move into a new location.
