Document Summary

Conflict: border disputes were the main cause of the war. Started at the ohio river, spread and exploded all the way to cuba. 7 years in europe, and 6 years in north america. Mainly because there wasn"t anywhere for the french and british to fight, they"re neighboring countries, that"s why it lasted longer. For the first half the french were victorious but in the end the french lost badly. 1759, battle of quebec is what made the french start losing badly. British colonists, not just a british subject or someone that lives in london: attached but somewhat unattached from the mother country. 1763- proclamation line*- boundaries after the treaty of paris. It was a boundary line of where the british settlers could not colonize or settle, a no man"s land. Crown basically said that they don"t know what it beyond this line so they told them that they were protecting them from whatever bad thing was beyond it.
