Occurred from the 2nd to the 4th century: baptism, eucharist, rituals, beginnings, persecutions. End of the pax romana: marcus aurelius, commodus, the end begins, crisis, diocletian. Ruled rome from 161 180 ad. Spent his rule mainly conquering germans in northern europe. When he died, his son, commodus, takes over.
