Shortly after constantine becomes augustus, his brother-in-law tries to usurp his power. Constantine decides to march on the city of rome. Constantine stationed on one side and his brother-in-law on the other. Both ends sacrifice to the gods in order to get them on their side for the battle. Constantine sees the chi ro in the sky and orders all of his men to pain flags, banners, and shield with the chi ro symbol. Constantine wins and takes over as the emperor of rome. Constantine began building large churches around rome and new circuses for races. Once legalizing christianity, constantine knew christianity as different throughout the world so he called the council of nicea => bishops come together to establish the proper beliefs of christianity. Hagia sophia => holy wisdom; built in constantinople. Holy sepulcher => built in jerusalem, supposedly built over jesus"s tomb and crucifixion location.
