Second triumvirate: caesar has a nephew named octavian. Octavian and his best friend mark antony and caesars right hand man. In order to keep the peace the senate has to accept it: the 1st thing they do is compile the list of death. It is a list of 300 people that they will one by one execute. Now they control with the 400 members of the senate: octavian ruled rome the city. Cleo tells marc that he is the rightful ruler of rome. Octavian and marc fight over who should rule rome which starts third civil war. Pax romana and reign of augustus: when he gets home, he is renamed caesar augustus. People loved him because there is finally peace in rome. The time period of peace was called pax romana and it lasted 41 years: all that augustus did for rome: The roman empire is 3 million square miles. They are all connected with highways that augustus built.
