Dad gets a job and has to go away from home with cecil. hes afraid the boss and his son will gang up and kill him. Cecil says we"ll take care of it- had a fight. Book says ray (dad) and cecil were not violent people, but they had to be so they could stand up for themselves. Bad eye- him and jay had a misunderstanding about hogs. When jay gets a chance, he gives him hell. Bad eye tells him not to go over the fence. When he wakes up, tells jay its bad eye"s hand now.
