Document Summary

During this seminar we talked about how to write a scientific abstract. The importance of an abstract comes clear as the reader decides if the topic of your research matches their interests on the bases of the abstract. Moreover the paper can be searched with the help of the used keywords. So to begin at a more general level, the main objective of an abstract is to serve as a concise summary of a project you have undertaken. Nevertheless, there are some guidelines to be followed. First of all you have to keep to the word limit. Depending on the paper that ranges between 100-300 words. Usually an abstract is typed as a single paragraph. However, there are journals doing some separations as they have different formats. It has to be clearly and simple written and no abbreviations should be used, normally. The author should think about terminology and used abbreviations.
