He committed so many traffic violations during the chase that he was a felony evader by. After he stopped, the passengers complied with officer orders, but he ignored commands. He was acting strange, talking gibberish, and sweating (even though it was a cool night). Verbalization- king received numerous commands, but did not comply. King somehow managed to have enough strength (superhuman- drugs?) get all four back off of him. Riots: 58 killed, 2000 injured, numerous newspaper articles. Motivations and intent of the officers- prosecution was attempting to prove that the officers knew what they were doing, k(cid:374)e(cid:449) it (cid:449)as (cid:449)(cid:396)o(cid:374)g, a(cid:374)d did(cid:374)"t (cid:272)a(cid:396)e. Rod(cid:374)ey ki(cid:374)g"s i(cid:374)ju(cid:396)ies- wounds on the face, back, chest, and arm. Doctors could not testify that the wounds were caused by a baton.
