An archive is defined as: a place where public records or records of importance are held, a repository or collection of information. An archivist is defined as: a person responsible for the organization, preservation, and access to archival materials and their collections. Greeks and romans had their own archives at home: typically family materials, only a handful of these documents today, some of the first archivists, these records showed mostly their livelihoods through sometimes person recollections came through.
