Police have the right to stop you on the side of the street for a reasonable amount of time-- for suspicious behavior. Concerned for safety and officer is going to pat the person down. How they confirm the suspicion by having a conversation. Excuse- age, insanity, intoxication, mistake you can not have the intent to commit a crime. Can you be held accountable for your behavior? (age) Insanity is a legal term-- psych does not talk about insanity. Prove 2 thing can"t tell the difference between right and wrong, cannot control your behavior. Mistake didn"t know about the law and someone may tell you information that is untrue. Justification- duress, self defense, necessity, entrapment the person meant to do it but they feel like they had a good reason. Do this or i"m going to shoot her serious bodily harm.
