Mamluk - africa, pre ottoman ruling, the leader control most land and army. Ottoman take over and let maluk in charge, mamluk- egyptian. Taxes from imperial(other country trade) go to ottoman, and taxes in local go to the mamluk government. This way, they build enough money for their army to take the power of ottoman empire. Mughal empire- (india) get benefit from the taxes, silver. They get more silver from the european because of central america. The silver make europe economy goes down, and india economy goes up. Lose income because trade is expensive on land, don"t have money to pay army, local people stop being taxes, 1773, got overthrown by rebellion. Theme: local trade undermine imperialism trade, moving to sea. Ming- economy being destabilize, water-shed moment, people get silver, which affect economy. Monetized economy- change the way of trading money, which people have to pay in silver not trading in goods.
