The monks start reading it and this reintroduces this other knowledge and literature. The aristocracy also starts reading things for themselves. Manorialism: chief among equals gets the best property. A certain number of days per year are also spent working for the manor. Feudalism: the people with the smaller land owe fealty the large manor. A certain number of days per year and spent working for the lord. Can"t be bought and sold, but also don"t have much freedom. Little ice age: constant threat of death, trying to heat your area.
