After caesar is assassinated octavian and marc antony are in line to rule. The two of them work together to keep the senate from getting power. They have an a air, this o ends his wife octavia who is octavian"s sister. Octavian tells everyone that he is not a king, emperor, or monarch. He is simply the rst citizen he tells them. He is the main decision maker though, who is the emperor. Romans do have to continue to ght and battle and expand and this makes it very hard to govern. He his then given the title caesar augustus (caesar the revered one) Nerva chooses his successor when he gets older. They focused that most romans were very poor especially out in the colonies. Romans had the best plumbing situations until 19th century france. They wanted to give those people better water. They are focused on relieving the burden of the poor.
