Women in civil society drew inspiraion from other countries. Female legislators succeeded in geing the resoluion passed in the senate. Women rallied the night of the vote. Female senators knew this bill meant nothing, the law was not enforced: it was never implemented in its original form, would not be enforced unil 10 years later.
