Referred by their body language and what they say. Grandiose- opinion of oneself or of something that is greater than normal. Ideas of reference- mild case when you think their talking about you : things that are neutral that causes people to think someone"s talking about them and have semi proof but can"t really prove it. Delusion- false belief and accompanied by a hallucination, psychotic disorders. Hallucinations- false perception; hear voices and seeing things that is really not there. Ego syntomic- buying into the symptom (compulsive) ex. Counting how many times you turn the door knob. Ego dystonic- not buying into their symptom but does it anyway. Olfactory- hallucinations that result in also smelling. Koro- delusions that occurs in males; ex. Phantom limb- patients complaining they can"t feel their hands. Affect- moment to moment; expressed emotions we infer the mood from. (wet) Can occur in variety of states (affect and mood).
