Ego syntomic- buying into the symptom (compulsive) ex. Counting how many times you turn the door knob. Ego dystonic- not buying into their symptom but does it anyway. Olfactory- hallucinations that result in also smelling. Koro- delusions that occurs in males; ex. Phantom limb- patients complaining they can"t feel their hands. Affect- moment to moment; expressed emotions we infer the mood from. (wet) Can occur in variety of states (affect and mood).
