Wanderlust: a strong desire or urge to wander or travel and explore the world. Tourism is integrally connected to and driven by peoples desire to have an experience in, and form a relationship with place. A circuit/type of movement: the temporary relocation of people outside their usual environment, for any number of reasons, including any number of activities, and return to their point of departure. Expected international tourist arrivals: 1. 5b in 2020. The resources consumed by tourists are actually meant for the local population first, it just so happens that urban environments can support the influx of people. On the rise, as humans become increasingly disconnected from our roots. Mass tourists look for: familiar goods ad services tailored to meet their needs, packaged trips, safety, recreational activities. Value judgements are made with respect to identifying which parts of heritage are worth keeping and which parts are no longer important. Attracts fans and athletes alike in the masses.
