Intentions of others become important: stage 4: law and social-order maintaining, obey rules and conform to social norms, no one or group is above the law. We as humans should value human lives first . He shouldn"t steal because of the scientist"s rights to compensation : stage 6: personal moral system that reflects abstract principles (justice, life, liberty, equality). Preserving human life is higher than legal property : only few people are at level 6. Inner senses of right and wrong: ethic of care and ethic of justice, two approaches to morality, not necessarily gender specific, affective component is important, there is more than one fundamental basis for morality.
