Higher albedo is an outcome of human transformation. Not always wet - when it is dry it is set on fire. Some of the fire is purposeful and some is inadvertent. Sugar cane controlled through canals, pump stations, etc. Everglades restoration - a federal effort to try and bring back some of the everglades that had been transitioned into agriculture. Difficult effort - take all of the things that got transformed and try to bring it back to its original process/function. Goal/target - foster the land so that the native species and vegetation can come back. Goal/target - get the water flowing through the way it did before the canals were built. Goal/target - go back to before european invasion/settlement. Goal/target - get the processes back that allowed that to be sustained.
