Behavioral model-people are the sum total of their learned behaviors. Cognitive model-abnormal functioning can result from several kinds of cognitive problems. Humanistic existential model-those who choose to hide from responsibility and choice will view themselves as helpless and weak and may live empty, inauthentic, and dysfunctional lives. Sociocultural model-abnormal behavior is best understood in light of the broad forces that influence an individual.
